André Schwartz speaks out against crime...

Our constitution states that everyone has a right to freedom and security of the person. What a far cry from reality this is.

We live in a country tortured by crime and corruption, where no person feels safe: not on the roads, not in the banks, not in shops, not in restaurants and least of all in our homes.

The problem is crucial, how dare our politicians pat themselves on the back that only 18 000 people were killed last year. Their denial and negligence should stand accountable for each death.

This song serves as part of a desperate plea to the government. It is the wish of South Africans, no matter race or creed, that this horrid state of affairs MUST be resolved.

We all love our country and what this democracy has to offer, let's start feeling safe and proud as well.

Let “Proudly South African” not be a fickle brand exercise, but a reality.

Please download this song and send it to all concerned South Africans.
Hopefully it will reach the decision makers as well.

Sleep softly Mbeki ...
  LYRICS

Sleep softly Mbeki, Selebi and co

Snuggle up safely in dream land

Outside the criminals are having a go

Raping and robbing the Rainbow

Tula

Ask the poor widows the orphans who cry

How they love living in our land

Kill them and burn them and bash in their heads

What price the muti for peace in our beds?

Tula

White, brown or black, we keep watching our backs

Scared to be the next victim on TV

Ignore the corruption the crime and the facts

Denial looks good on your CV

Tula
